Committed to Academic Excellence

in a Safe, Caring Community

Norma Carrillo
Pauma School
Principal

Thank you for visiting our website.  Pauma School is a rural K-8 school in north east San Diego County with an enrollment of 270 students.  We are committed to academic excellence in a safe, caring community.  Our goals include increasing academic achievement to continue to meet federal AYP standards, and to increase parent involvement. Enrollment at this Kindergarten through eighth grade school was 262 in November of this year. Teachers are able to address the individual needs of students as a result of these efforts through Response to Intervention and implementation of intervention strategies.

This dedicated and supportive staff has worked to increase student achievement.  In addition to a well-rounded curriculum that meets all state standards, we offer physical education, technology instruction, music, and an athletic program to include golf instruction with an award winning golf facility.  We have an after-school program with a focus on academics, athletics and the arts.  Our students are provided with many wonderful learning opportunities through our library, cutting edge classroom technology, field trips, AVID, Club Live, mentorship and character programs, student assemblies, and family learning events.  These activities help enrich our students’ lives and improve their knowledge and skills.

Pauma is recognized by the AVID Center as an AVID National Certified School
