    All 5 year old children turning 5 between September 2, 2022 and February 2, 2023 are invited to register for the 2022-2023 school year as a Transitional Kindergarten student.

    All 5 year old children turning 5 by September 1, 2022 are invited to register for the 2022-2023 school year as a Kindergarten student.

    Registration forms are available at vcpusd.org. Hard copies are also available in the school office.

    About Our School

    Thank you for visiting our website!  Pauma School is a rural TK-8 school in northeast San Diego County with an enrollment of 220 students.  We are committed to academic excellence in a safe, caring community.  Our goals include increasing academic achievement and to increase parent involvement. Teachers are able to address the individual needs of students as a result of these efforts through Response to Intervention and implementation of intervention strategies.

    This dedicated and supportive staff has worked to increase student achievement.  In addition to a well-rounded curriculum that meets all state standards, we offer physical education, technology instruction, music, and an athletic program to include golf instruction with an award winning golf facility.  We have an after-school program with a focus on academics, athletics, and the arts.  Our students are provided with many wonderful learning opportunities through our library, cutting edge classroom technology, field trips, focus classes, character programs, student assemblies, and family learning events.  These activities help enrich our students’ lives and improve their knowledge and skills.
